Graduation Requirements

Many core requirements can be substituted with Advanced Placement or IB courses. Course options will be available to meet the needs of the student's Educational Development Plan. 

The chart below outlines the 21 credits needed* in order to earn a West Ottawa High School diploma. Additionally, beginning with the graduation class of 2027, students must also have completed the FAFSA in their final year or have completed the FAFSA waiver form.  More information on FAFSA completion can be found here.

*Students must also complete all parts of the Michigan Merit Exam in order to be eligible for graduation per board policy.
